Yoga for Fitness – our brand new Godalming class on the Surrey Fitness Centres timetable starts on Monday!
This yoga class ideal for fitness enthusiasts or sportspeople. If you train with us on a weekly basis at our Boot Camps, Boxing or Run Club classes then this class is perfect for you! Classes are a perfect compliment for those members who attend our classes, run or cycle lots as this challenging class will improve both your strength and flexibility in crucial areas.
The new class is Monday evenings 7:45pm-8:45pm launching this coming Monday 22nd February at Godalming College. This new Godalming class will initially be a five-week trail class and if popular it will then be a permanent class (maybe two!) every week.
‘Yoga for Fitness’ classes will help lengthen out tight spots, speeding up recovery and restoring a natural range of motion These include the hamstrings, glutes, quads, hip flexors and calves and also the stabilising muscles such as outer hip and thigh, including the often troublesome Iliotibial (IT) band.
Classes are being delivered by Harbour Yoga and led by Yvette Meredith, who is a level 3 Personal Trainer, Group Fitness, Yoga and Pilates teacher with 20 years experience in the Fitness Industry. She has a specialist qualification as a Yoga Sports Coach and is passionate about using yoga to help sportspeople train safely and improve their performance.
Our ‘Yoga for Fitness’ classes are included in members’ monthly class membership at no additional cost making membership of SFC even greater value!
If you have pre-paid class credits with us you can use these to attend these classes.
For non-members we offer a two-week free trial to all classes and beyond this various affordable membership options including pay as you go.
Classes are limited to 20 people only. We suspect this class will be hugely popular so we ask if you contact us each week to book your place. If you can make the session on Monday 22nd February then get in touch! Yoga mats and all equipment is provided!
GODALMING TIMETABLE UPDATE
For the next five weeks in the run up to Easter while we trial this new class we have adjusted the Godalming timetable. Our spring/summer timetable starts in April when our evening sessions return to Holloway Hill Rec and an additional evening class will be added. Here’s the updated timetable:

– Tuesdays, 9:30am Boot Camp at Holloway Hill Rec
– Tuesdays, 7:30pm Boot Camp at Priors Field School
– Wednesdays, 8pm Warrior Boxing at Priors Field School
– Thursdays, 7:45pm Run Club meeting point varies (see our Facebook page)
– Fridays, 9:30am Boot Camp at Holloway Hill Rec
– Saturdays, 9am Boot Camp at Holloway Hill Rec
